Yay I am Employed again!!

Well hello friends, it sure has been awhile since I have last posted anything. So much has been going on in the last month. I have finally moved back home. After 4 months I finally told John that I hated it up North and it was better for me to live back in the Hat. He understood completely cause he hates it so much too. We both agreed that it was not a place to raise his son, so it will be up to me to take care of Allen when John is working. Allen will be moving down South next week. I am really excited about that. I miss the little guy so much. It will give us a little time to bond without John around.

I also recently began working at Powers & Jans Chiropractic again. Yay! I am not a bum any longer!! I love having a pay cheque again. It makes me feel like I am doing something with life lol!! I have almost made it through 2 weeks of work. I am supposed to be only part time right now, but I seem to have regained my extra full time schedule back. I am so tired. I am not used to being on my feet for so long lol! Oh well, no complaining! I am looking forward to feeling a little better about the money situation and not having to rely on my loving man anymore. Poor guy doesn't need a bum for a gf. He started dating me cause I was ambitious, not cause I was wanting a sugar daddy lol!

I'm Still a Bum

Well I was super stoked just recently because I had finally gotten a job. Yay!! I was gonna be working in a bar doing some bartending, waitressing and helping out with some renos. I was waiting to hear from my new boss as to when I was gonna start. I got the phone call, she told me I would be starting May 1. Yay! Then I got the phone call the night before saying that she didnt get her legal stuff done so we wouldnt be starting until May 15th. Then I got a call saying that she decided not to sign the lease. Which means I am out of ajob before I even started. Which totally blows!!

So now I am back on the job search. I have applied to a few other jobs, but I dont really want to search too hard yet due to my trip next week. I have to go back down south for my Step Daughter's graduation!! I know that sounds super strange to a few of you, but my "step-daughter" is a friend of mine's daughter. I played ball with her and her family for the last 5 years. I love her to death and feel so excited to be invited to her graduation. I miss her with all my heart and I am so happy to be involved in her special day.

So that means back on the road next week. I will be down from Thurs to Sun. I wont have too much free time because we will also have John's son that weekend.  I look forward to hanging with those who I will get to see. I hate that I don't get to see everyone though.

Hey all! Sorry its been a while since I have wrote. I spent a lot of time down in Bow Island visiting my Mommy. Things were pretty boring up here so I went and was gonna spend a week with my Mom. Which turned into 5 weeks of being down South. I did some massages so I wasnt too bored. lol!

I finally got to come home to this lovely hotel in Fort St John, BC. I met John in Nisku while he was attending some courses. We spent a few days there and then I was following him home. Unfortunetly I was the forgetful person I usually am and I left my lights on in Nisku. That is usually no big deal, but the dead battery turned into needing a new one. Then we drove till just about Whitecourt. When my lovely car broke down again. That turned into a new alternator and new computer for my car. This was a saturday that my car broke down. We had to get back to FSJ so we were gonna pick up my car Wed on our way back down south for John's days off. On our way to Whitecourt we called Fountain Tire where my car was and found out that they ordered the wrong part and werent gonna get it till Thursday. We spent a night in Grande Prairie so we didnt have to hang out in Whitecourt all day, but we were wrong. They were supposed to be done in the morning, but we didnt get the car until 3pm. What a horrible week that was for me!! I have nothing good to say about the Fountain Tire in Whitecourt. I wasn't even informed that they were replacing the computer. It was a huge expense that I didn't even know about!! Talk about lack of courtesy!!

Anyways....I am back in FSJ after a quick visit down south. John's Mom and stepdad are back from Palm Springs. We had a good visit with them. I enjoy spending time with them. I also got to see my family. They took the time to come see me in Medicine Hat. My little niece is almost saying Auntie!! I am so happy! I cant wait till she says it for real. Her and I had a blast together. I miss her so much when I am up here. She is a pretty cool little girl. She has all the attitude I have! It is great!!

So I have some good news from up here. I got a job! Yay! It is not the best job in the world, but it something to keep me from being too bored. I will be working at a pub up here. The owner just bought it and she takes over on the 1st. For the beginning part of work I will be doing a lot of cleaning and changing the place. It is a pretty run down pub right now, but she wants to turn it into a sports pub. If any of you have any ideas on what to do to make a sports pub work please let me know. We are looking for ideas to get butts in the seats. I have brought up UFC, playoffs, and all that kind of stuff. Plus I have brought up sponsoring sports teams. I want to have some good ideas for her. I think she is also interested in uniforms of sorts, though she isnt too sure what kind.

Taking a Trip

So since John is working so much I have decided that I am bored of this place and I want to get away. I have decided to take a little trip on my own. I am not telling you where I am going as of yet. I think I need a little me time. As long as it means I won't be stuck in a hotel room all day everyday. I have taked little trips around this city doing the touristy stuff. Though there is not a whole lot to see. Plus it is still pretty slushy here and I dont have the proper shoes to be walking around.

I hope to get a few good pictures along the way. I am not the best photographer, but I am trying. I like to take pictures of people more than pictures of things. I guess I will have to do a lot of self portraits. Though I will take Norbert (to those of whom dont know, Norbert is my travelling Gnome) with me, so there will be more pictures to add to his photo album when I get around to printing off his pictures. I really should get a little bit more patience and start scrapbooking or something. I think he would have a fantastic photo album if I was crafty like that.

Anyways, I guess I better get packed.

I'm Back...

Well I took a little hiatus from this blogging thing. I really didn't think anyone was reading it so I didn't really feel like writing it. Though I have learned differently. Thanks to all those who have been keeping up with my boring thoughts. LOL!! I know since I have moved up here I have really realized how much I used to do. I never thought I did that much, but I know now that I was super busy. I don't know what to do with myself most days.

Today I met a lady who has her own spa here in town. I went to get my eyebrows done. She was super nice. We chatted about the fact that I am a massage therapist and am currently unemployed. She was so sweet to offer me a little deal. If there is anyone that is looking for more of a therapeutic massage she would call me and I could used her massage room. She only does relaxation massage as well as the waxing and spa stuff. She works in the upstairs of a gym. What a great place for me to start!! She took my number and told me she would call if someone was looking for one. YAY ME!!

I have also been sending out resumes for other little jobs. I am not sure if that is going well or not cause I just started. LOL!! I really hate selling myself. ( Not as in sexually!) I mean when you apply for jobs you are selling your image and what you can do. You have to prove yourself to people without actually doing a job. It is all about first impressions. I am too shy for that crap!! Most jobs I have ever had were offered to me and I didn't have to go look for them. Yea I know I am kinda lucky that way, but hey whatever works I guess.

Other than that I haven't been doing a whole lot. John and I got to take a road trip the other day. We took a drive down the Alaska Highway for a ways. It is really beautiful. And I got to see some Moose!! Yay!! I just love the fact that down south you have the watch for deer signs, here there aren't too many of those signs. There are watch for Moose and Buffalo signs here....It's crazy!!
